Every desk at my current employer is a stand up.... we just moved into a new office where the entire desk lifts vs just the monitors/keyboard on those old kangaroo stands. I spend about half my day standing.

Best decision ever, especially after lunch. I do the sit for an hour, stand for an hour.

Also, include this link to the email to your boss.

My desk goes up and down. I like standing, but I also like sitting. It works well.

It's a decent change, but not a permanent one IMO. The O&G company I worked at prior had adjustable desks that you could sit or stand at... it was cool

Alright, just emailed my boss the link. We'll see what he says.

Fail. Now your boss knows you were screwing around on the internet not working.

Should have typed, saved the draft and then sent really early or really late so you seem dedicated to working at all hours.

Sit for Tigerdroppings, stand to look like you're working.

We did an office-wide petition to the higher ups in corporate to invest in standing desks and they said no. We work in sales, so I wish they would understand the increase in productivity. A few friends bought their own and love it. I just cant see myself dropping over $500 on that right now.

I'm 6'3", would one of these have enough adjustability to make it comfortable for me?

They just ordered a bunch of them for some of my coworkers. I was one of the lazy ones that didn't want one.

Several guys in my office have bought these uplift desks. I will be making the switch sometime this year. They all love it.

100%. I got this one from Ikea like 6 months ago. I still sit more than I stand, but I like to stand when I get tired. It helps wake me up.

I'm 6'4". I visited our California office a few weeks ago, and there is a guy there about my height who has the one I linked. He loves it and it looked like perfect height for him.

I'm 6'2. I put mine at the highest setting (4')when standing. It would probably still be high enough for you. If not, you could always put some spacers underneath the feet.

I have a varidesk and spend most of my day standing. It has done wonders for my lower back pain.

Get an adjustable desk. Standing all day gets old fast.ive seen several co workers try and give up just standing. Having the ability to switch is nice.
