I use the Quattro Mirage mask... it works pretty well but you will eventually need to replace the cushion and straps.

That is crazy as hell. When I put that link up it was 350.

That being said, I bought it a month ago for 470.

Edit... I think the traffic from posting it here caused the price to jump. LINK

I go tonight to get a sleep study done with a CPAP on for the first time. My first study without the CPAP was pretty bad. I stopped breathing up to 68 times an hour and my O2 level dropped to 79%. I hope this damn thing helps. I'm exhausted all day everyday.

That could be your problem then. Heated humidifiers can cause moisture in the mask. Hotter air goes through the tubing and if the air temp in the room is cool enough it can cause condensation in the tubing and mask.

I don't use a heated humidifier and I've never had any issues with moisture.

I can't wait. I lose all energy and want to take a nap everyday about this time at work.

I did 1 study. About an hour into it the tech woke me up because I had stopped breathing over 100 times in an hour. I put the CPAP on and had no problems the rest of the night. My O2 saturation was REALLY low.

It can definitely make a huge difference. I used to fall asleep at my desk and not even realize until I woke up wondering WTF just happened. My doctor explained it as sleeping but never being able to fully charge your batteries.

Exactly. A way to think about it is starting the day with your cellphone at 79% charge and not having a way to recharge it all day. It ain't gonna last as long as a fully charged phone.

shite, that's worse than I was.

I fricking hated that sleep study though... how am I supposed to sleep "normally" with wires and shite attached everywhere? That was a miserable night... I know I did sleep eventually, but I felt like I never did.

I was the same way. I pulled the lead off my leg 5 minutes after I started to go to sleep. I'm pretty sure I didn't fall asleep til after 1am.

I didn't have any problem falling asleep. I'm conditioned to where when the lights go out and I tell myself it's time to sleep I'm out.

The worst part to me was washing all that vasoline shite off.

All that time on the sub finally paid off for something.

Yes, that sucked as well.

I opted for the APAP so I didn't have to go back and do a second study... it has been great.

Quattro works well for side sleepers? Any leakage?

Yes, pretty well. I sleep on my side most of the time.

Sometimes it does, and the bands will eventually lose their elasticity, so keep them fresh and it should stay on pretty well. Obviously if you roll your face into the pillow it's going to lose the seal and leak, but in general it works very well.

This is what I purchased and I am infinitely happy with it.

LINK

It's got every feature that you would want and you won't find anything cheaper anywhere. There is an app that I look at on my phone each morning and it will tell me how well I slept. The CPAP communicates via bluetooth with the app. Also there is an SD card in the machine that will allow you to analyze your own sleep patterns.

Do you not need a Dr. prescription to buy the equipment any longer? I might try one of these auto claps if I can just buy it and see how it works.

I have one. I did a sleep study due to chronic lethargy. I made mild to moderate sleep apnea. I got a cpap. It eliminated apnea episodes where I would dream that I was drowning and wake up gasping for air. I feel like I breathe sufficiently with it now. However, it hasnt really helped my lethargy and I still need 9.5 to 10 hours of sleep to feel fully rested. I also have chest pains when I only sleep 6 or 7 hours.
