Does your company have a speculation on miles? I know some companies say less than 5years old and less than 100k miles for vehicle allowance.

OP, if you want a used truck I'd search dealers in the Houston area on Car Gurus or a similar site. Selection and deals are much better four hours west IMO. I don't Think I'll ever buy a truck here again.

A 2016 TD Lariat F250 has a 49500k average MMR here in TX, and NADA loan is 45k.

50k is a reasonable retail price for the truck, but you should still try to get it at 47 or so and see what happens.

Assuming it's 4x4. If it's not 4x4 you are getting arse pounded at 50k.

But I don't get buying a used $50K truck. If you can actually afford that I don't understand just buying new

So you don't understand buying used makes the original owner take the hit on depreciation?

That's why so many here are broke... only buying new, often close to sticker, and are upside down 4years later.

Only in Murica can trucks cost more than luxury cars.
I just went and built a Ford F250 to over $80,000 - WTF

Which is why I won't buy another new one. I looked at an F250 that was 55k with cloth seats. Yeah frick that.

Before you do this, research what the same exact truck would cost in Houston and see if a 4 hour drive could save you thousands.

I bought a 2015 Enclave last year with 12k miles and saved about 20% from buying new. 38k vs 58k

My 2016 250 was 53,9k 9 mnths ago...All Star Prairieville matching 12,5 off msrp then beating it by 400, and spraying the bed liner and giving me rubber matts. 0 miles.

Look at Vernon Auto or Mac Hiak prices in Tx and have a local dealer match or get close.

Sorry. It's a 2015 Ford F250.
Is it this color? If so, that truck was sold at auction for $44k last week. You're welcome.

I've seen posts by people that had obviously been in management in the auto industry. Collectively, this site could easily run a dealership.

However, the auto industry thrives on an ignorant consumer, and they cannot lay it all on the table.

It's a dirty business from top to bottom.

Do you know where Manheim gets its retail numbers? Is it an estimate or based off local sales?
