How much could i expect the dealer to drop the price on the truck I'm looking to purchase? It's listed for $50k w/15k miles. I'm hoping to get it in the $45-$47k range. Is that a realistic goal? How much mark-up do they have on used vehicles, typically?

Be sure to ask for free truck nuts for your GMC.

At our dealership I wouldn't expect anything like that. On used, we discount in the $100's, not thousands. That's because with online traffic, if you called me about my car I know that I am in your ballpark already. New cars are a different story.

Yes. That's reasonable.

Before you do this, research what the same exact truck would cost in Houston and see if a 4 hour drive could save you thousands.

People who do not understand what a truck it actually for

Only in Murica can trucks cost more than luxury cars.
I just went and built a Ford F250 to over $80,000 - WTF

Need more info on the truck. Year/make/model.

But I seriously doubt they're gonna drop the price $3-5 thousand unless they're got it marked up ridiculously.

Would you buy a 2016 with 15k miles for $50k or a new 2017 for $65k?

Low mileage used vehicles can be a very good purchase.

Depending on the truck you're looking at, that might be a terrible idea.

Horse shite. I use a truck like a truck. But if I had the want for a back up camera, Bluetooth, built in GPS and all the other cool shite they put in trucks now, I'd get it.
To each his own. If they want to drop 60K+ on a loaded out truck, good on them.
What does it matter to you anyway?
