Look up NADA value online on the truck. Should give you an idea on what kind of markup they put on it since you can see what the trade in value is.
No car salesman, but I don't think the markup is big enough to realistically think you can get them to come off 8-10% from their asking price....unless they've had a hard time trying to sell it for a while

Yeah how about a little bit more info on the truck
People that do not want to pay MSRP of $63k new?

All you people shitting egg rolls over a used truck for 50K should do a little research before you respond. That's not out of the norm- depending on the truck.

Sorry. It's a 2015 Ford F250. The same truck with 28k miles on it in Houston is selling for mid 40s
Posted on 3/12/17 at 7:08 pm to Black
A flight to Houston is $75, and they'll come pick you up. Texas dealerships will bend more on price because, unlike dealerships in LA, they deal in volume
Either way you put it, $50k is too high. Not my money though. A fool and his money are soon parted

That price is giving me anxiety, and I'm not even buying it. If you make over 200k a year and need a truck, it may be ok--if not you are crazy.

I bought a brand new 2014 F-250 for $52,500. Don't pay 50k for one that's 2 years old

I'm not paying for it. I mean, technically, I am, but my job is giving me a vehicle allowance.
I will be driving from NOLA to BR everyday. Then daily I will be driving to Plaquiemine, Zachary, etc.
Diesels hold their value longer with more miles on it than gas, not to mention better miles per gallon

What do you do that you need this kind of truck? That is a pretty long commute.

That's why I asked. If they aren't going to come off that price, then I'm not buying.
It's a Lariat, btw

I'm a field PM. I have to go to job sites, etc. And I need a truck to pill my boat

Mine is a lariat too. It's a great truck and my 3rd F-250
Thinking about getting the new one now that they started running rebates

Its impossible to know how much they will come off of a used vehicle. Only thing you can do is negotiate and if you like the price take it, otherwise walk away.

That's not a bad price for a diesel with 15k miles. That's not shite for a diesel. You'll probably get a lot of "you don't really need a diesel" comments from a lot of people depending on the size of your boat. Screw them though, I love my diesel and I love the satisfaction that I get when I'm towing something heavy for someone else and I'm getting twice the mpg that they would be getting in their gas burner. They always look over at the info screen and say something like holy crap, you're getting ..... mpg??? If that's the truck you want, get it.

If they want to drop 60K+ on a loaded out truck, good on them.
What does it matter to you anyway?
Oh it does not matter to me, being stupid is a protected right in America.
62% of Americans have less than $1000 in savings and 21% do not even have a savings at all. So full steam ahead with being morons with our money, it is the OT and American way.

Maybe OP has a stable job in a safe market. I think the OT is jaded by all the idiots around south LA who bought $40-50k trucks and ended up getting laid off and subsequently not able to pay the note.

I mean I drive a F-150 Lariat with every bell and whistle. But I don't get buying a used $50K truck. If you can actually afford that I don't understand just buying new.
To each their own though I guess.

It's not your money. Quit acting like you are Dave Ramsey.
