Full disclosure- I don’t work there.
One of my guys left the job we were on to go there. I still talk to him.
He says it’s miserable. Lot of people getting hurt/ accidents. Takes forever getting home . Horrible dust. No where to stay.
Hell no.

Many contractors were forced to take a bus from about 7 miles away and management was damn firm on the request that the baws had to sit 2 to a seat on those damn school busses. Some quit because of this crap.

My buddy is a safety man at a contractor out there. They are in desperate need of a man camp. They have 9k people on days right now. That is not an exaggeration.

This...although who knows if FERC will give them the ability to go 24/7...depends on if Trump or Cackles wins in November.

CP2 will be a mirror image of Plaquemines and VG doesn't play games.

Night shift starts at 1401 onsite then it’s 24/7

Yeah it’s not going to get better anytime soon. They will start phase two later this year down there.
And then with the Lake Charles stuff, there is a serious skilled labor shortage issue.

I have a few friends that have worked there or currently working. Absolute cluster fck. Plan on an hour minimum to get out of parking lot. Trailer lots up to $2400/month. The locals are raping the workers.

Sounds like it’s laid back work, if it’s this unorganized usually means lots of down time, but if it’s just the getting out the parking lot the worst I think I can manage. I’ll drink over it tonight lol

Had a job offer with the plant itself (not a contractor) but turned it down. Seems like an epic cluster-fuk down there right now and wasn't interested in dealing with it

If HB Zachary doesn’t get their shite together on this one, Bernhard will be buying them for pennies on the dollar.

Sounds like a perfectly miserable place to work.

Did you think your welding expertise was going to land you in a Manhattan penthouse, set at 70 degrees with 5000 hookers as colleagues?

I have a contractor working there. It sounds like the hats don’t know who is in charge. Pay is 6-9 months out for him. Paperwork chokes the cash flow
