There was much intrigue in Yemen while I was there in the 80s and early 90s. South Yemen was Marxist and solidly in the Soviet sphere. North Yemen was ostensibly "neutral" but very much leaning socialist. The Soviets as well as the US and the UK had very large embassies in Sana'a, and the Chinese had a large presence constructing roads and other infrastructure.
Even within our company, there were a few people both American and British who may well have been working for one of the intelligence agencies.

Puerto Vallarta is the place to go. Major dental schools and clinics there. It’s not rock bottom cheapest, but still a lot cheaper than here.

My dad’s colleague has gotten all of his serious dental work done in Turkey from a dentist he’s known for many years.
His dentist in the US was asking about where he got the work done, as he was very impressed with it. Apparently this Turkish dentist is using some technology that isn’t really even used by most US dentists.
Oddly enough this came up in conversation a few days ago
