Any Baton Rouge metro area homeowners seeing a large jump in appraisal (non flooded homes)

Shortly after the August flood of 2016 there was talk about homes that didn’t flood exponentially rising in value.
Anyone in EBR, Ascension or Livingston that didn’t flood seeing a large increase in their home’s value?

Didn't you ask this question before?

A house on street over from mine that did flood is currently listed at about 30K more than I paid for mine right before the flood. I don't think they've gotten much interest though. In Livingston parish.

I just bought a house in AP and I am praying the appraisal goes very well and I get some built in equity.
Appraisal actually came back 10k higher than my purchase price. I is a happy camper.

I guess with all the updates people think they can get a premium.
I'm currently house shopping in the area, and am finding that rehabilitated flooded houses are much nicer because of the updates.

I flooded in ebr. Renovated it very well. Sold it first weekend it was on the market. Multiple offers over full price. Price was over 10% over what I paid for it 6 years ago.

Sold my house in South BR last December for 8% increase after owning the house for 4 years. The house was on the market for a week with multiple offers and sold after to a cash buyer for asking price...I can only imagine what they are going for now, after people don't want to live in their "rebuilt" houses for a year.

I live just off Millerville in EBR and we have a house in our neighborhood that was purchased in 07/16, flooded, was remodeled and then sold back in May for just under $10k over what it had been bought for pre-flood.
Zillow is saying my estimate has increased $15k from when we bought it in 2014, but you can only take those estimates with a grain of salt.

Zillow tells me my house in Shenandoah is worth 50k more than what I paid for it in 2014.

Mine has increased about 20% since July. Pretty insane and got in at the perfect time. EBR.

Yep. Part of the Sharon Weston Broome effect. Get ready for a property tax increase to help offset the funds that the city will lose once St. George is formed. She’s gotta fund NBR somehow.

It might be true, but don't ever trust "Zestimates".
