No Fat Tuesday on our calendar for flexible holiday option.

I’m about to CC the entire HR department in a scathing email letting them know I’m triggered at their nonexclusitory callousness

I see two recently added holidays that might explain why you lost Fat Tuesday.

Also how is it a flexible holiday if you are restricted in when you can take it. That is the exact opposite of flexible.

I could not handle a work schedule that rigid.

I have no idea what some of those are. I would suggest to HR that you have multiple heritages, and therefore need them all off. In today's climate, no issues.

What the hell is Vaisakhi? Eid al-fitr? Eid al-adha? Diwali?

Apparently our ‘culture team’ in HR sent out an email earlier in the year asking for suggestions on flexible holidays…. Must have been one of the 623 emails that I never opened

What does obvserved v non observed mean?

Can you not infer this, or are you being obtuse? Observed means it is a holiday you would normally get off, but that day falls on a weekend so the employer allows you to take off a nearby weekday. Jan 1 is a Saturday so his employer gives him off Jan 3. Christmas Eve is a Saturday so the employees get to take off Friday. Try using context clues.

I thought you were newly independently wealthy with worldwide holdings. Why are you working?

When has kissing a group of people's collective arse ever improved their situation in any meaningful way?
