You are free to practice your religion. If you operate a public accommodation, like a restaurant or hotel, you can't pretend that your religious beliefs precludes you from serving queers. No church will be forced to perform marriage ceremonies, but you can't say my religion prevents me from selling pizza to queers.

How about you just love your neighbor as you love yourself, even if he is gay, and let God judge him?

Maybe the most loving thing a person could do for them is tell them the truth about their lifestyle and not condone the unnatural.hypothetically or course

never ceases to amaze me how modern "Christians" underestimate what an all-powerful being would be capable of. almost seems insulting to God.

Disagree. I think anyone in a household with out a mother and father is at a disadvantage. It may not be significant and can obviously be overcome, but it isn't ideal. It's the same as single parent households.

While I still think a heterosexual household where both parents are together is preferable, I still think 2 parents provide more stability than 1, so I'd put it above a single parent household. Whenever people are completely against gay adoption, show them a Foster home, the stats behind foster kids after growing up, and then fly them across the Pacific to an Asian orphanage, and then if they're not complete hypocrites they'll know they are wrong.

"God" doesn't judge. That is just another ridiculous label and projected human trait that humans have given some imaginary guy in the sky.

. Then they will molest the kids thus teaching the kids to be gay. That's right. Apparently all gay people are child molesters.

LOL.... Awesome troll. Best post of the week.

If same sex marriage is allowed, then religious organizations will be forced to perform those marriages, ie. State of Washington vs. Florist Barronelle Stutzman.

Most gay marriages are not performed in a religious setting. Ummm.. there are things called Civil marriages.

There have been gay people forever. It isn't some new invention. People who get worked up about this issue have a lot of self examination to do.

Treat everyone you meet like you want to be treated. It isn't difficult.

This subject is always a huge conflict for me.

Personally, due to my faith, I don't agree with gay marriage. But....I don't make the laws and I shouldn't be allowed to just because of MY faith. Would I leave a church that allowed gay marriages to be performed there? Yes I would cause it doesn't line up with my personal beliefs. Am I gonna spew anti gay hate speech to others...no.

Of course, there are sensible arguments to be made against gay adoption, but most are extreme cases (gender reassignment encouragement, parents getting upset when their adopted children take on traditional gender roles).

What the ever living frick? Sexual preference (gay) and gender identity are two completely different things. Why would a gay couple want their child to have gender issues? That doesn't add up, they are not the same at all. Are you trying to say gay people would want their adopted children to be gay? I assure you we don't, we want our children to be happy and have great lives and being gay throws a huge wrench in that, you know.

I get that. You have that right. Civil unions are another matter. That any state would disallow a civil marriage is just crazy to me. I understand if a church wouldn't allow the coupling of two same sex people. People believe what they will.

The world is crazy enough. Some of the best people I know are in gay marriages. Just let it be.

The burden is so difficult. Gay parents are just as loving and caring as straight parents, there is no difference. Pretty sure a lot of posters here have never met any gay people. They have, just didn't know it.

So why are you caring, because they are other people too?

We can't just let people run around doing whatever the heck they please.

Even if it doesn't affect us physically, there has to be some agreed upon standards of conduct.

That's part of what the gay community is trying to do; make homosexuality seem socially acceptable.

I don't think anyone cares what another man/woman does in the comfort of your own home, but it does affect people in as far as what they have to see or hear on a daily basis in relation to homosexuality.

I'm not saying it is. I'm just saying that I disagree with those who say we should let people do whatever as long as it doesn't cause us harm.

I couldn't disagree more. I believe everyone should be able to do whatever they want as long as it doesn't harm anyone else. Why do you give a frick what someone else does?
