Yea, it’s shitty news, but I don’t think it’s that surprising. Between some of the stories he told about his past, his apparent worldview, and his lifestyle, I’d say his suicide was almost predictable.

Fuuuuuck what a terrible thing to wake up to.
I can't imagine what he had to be dealing with to commit suicide. I know he had plenty of demons in his past, but he had an incredible job, a daughter he gushes over, and a new girlfriend he couldn't stop talking about.

This guy had the best fricking job ever. I think this may be the most upset I’ve been about a celebrity death since Robin Williams. I loved the show, and if CNN is looking for a replacement that will look pathetic in comparison, I’m down.

That's what sad about suicide. From all outward appearances you have 0 idea about what that person is dealing with on the inside. He looked like he was living the dream. Just shows you how much of a grip mental health has on a person. He is getting some hate on here, but the guy was entertaining to watch and read for sure. I for one will miss his shows and books.

Just goes to show that celebrity status, a great job, and all the pleasures of life can’t bring you happiness alone. Very very sad.
