I was told she was in the crosswalk, and I get what you're saying. The main rule of the road, especially around a high foot traffic area like that is, people in crosswalks have the right of way.

I was also told she flew 10 feet which tells me the driver was probably speeding and didn't even attempt to stop.

The hospital is going to take a bite on this one.

8th st by the hospital is 25 mph and a lot of folks speed, especially trying to beat the light going onto 21.

I lived in Jeff and Orleans parish, st Tammany drivers are the worst I’ve ever seen between the big trucks with coffee can exhaust and the women in oversized SUVs. Everyone speeding and on their phone

the hospital may have tort immunity if she was in the course and scope of her job when she arrived on the premises and she was struck by her employer's vehicle driven by another employee. She would have her medical costs covered by workers compensation and would receive indemnity while unable to work.
