They can arrest deez nutz.

Actually, I like that they don't mess around with riff raff, but the amount of speeding cameras is annoying.

Ya have to get on ur politicians.

A politician in st.louis got one, and wasn't driving his car(wife was), and took it to the State, where he got a bill passed saying cameras and speed cameras are against the law. They were always against the law, but no one was forcing it to be stopped.

They also sued the camera company and the cities who used the cameras. Dropped their case, after law was passed. They got what they wanted in it being passed as state law.

Those cities still tried to keep their cameras up, but a Judge told them, he would hold anyone and everyone in their government in contempt, and all would be arrested. They all backed down and took them down.

I didn’t pay mine and it’s been over 3 years now. Just recently had my registration renewed and no flags.

If you don't park in the city much I wouldn't worry about it. All they can do is boot your car. No repercussions from the law for not paying them. But I do have a simple solution if you do park in the city after getting a ticket. Just "lose" the license plate and get a new one. The cost for a replacement is 36 bucks compared to the price of the ticket. The system for booting registers your plate number. Once the old one is "lost" and replaced your slate is wiped clean. Each ticket you get, wash, rinse, and repeat. Screw this over governing municipalities trying to milk us for every dime. Here's a link for your replacement plate Lol. Hope this helps.
Some people go through much more trouble to NOT follow the law than it would be just following it.

Well, I tell you what mr fine upstanding citizen. You are exactly part of the sheeple mentality the government adores. You break the law 100 times a day and don't even realize you're doing it. The traffic cameras are nothing more than a money grab. They don't give two shits about your safety or whatever bs they are pumping. I'll continue to get "tickets" from machines and continue to find anyway possible to not pay them. As for you, continue to pay "tickets" to the politicians family members or friends who have the contract for the cameras.

Girl I dated worked at a Country bar in Gretna, that her daddy owned. Never knew the greater NOLA area had Country bars, until I dropped by to visit her.

1. Cameras everywhere? Check.

2. Raise government revenue? Check.

3. Use said revenue to somehow deprive its citizens of liberty? Check.

Just wait until every PD has their own fleet of drones keeping up with what's going on in our backyards. They'll be shooting dogs from a block away.

If there’s nothing criminal that can be done, how can they boot your car? Isn’t it a private company that is contracted and “suggests” fines? Booting just doesn’t seem legal.

I just got my 3rd warning for one in Orleans. Wonder when they’ll stop sending them. The first was pretty aggressive. The 3rd was more like they were begging me to pay.

I’m not paying.

I could get behind a civil disobedience group that went after this revenue enhancer type shite that has noting to do with safety or crime. Take over the city hall, destroy cameras, turn over cop cars, that kind of fun stuff.

It would make a good movie too. Maybe an Iraq war vet gets a camera ticket on his way to take his pregnant wife to the hospital. Money grabbers have no mercy, so he unleashes Hell on their asses. People would love it.
