It boggles my mind that Democrat mayors would rather let the rampant crime and slaughter continue in their streets than admit Orange Man Bad is right and accept his help in the form of National Guard troops.

This is why I love those Helena Moreno ads. They’re nothing but mindless platitudes that let you know she’ll continue the status quo but possibly with slightly less corruption.

Y’all know that New Orleans is on pace for a 50 year low for the murder count, right?

I’m more concerned about the location of the murders than the amount.

Here's the issue.

Democrat mayors WANT this to continue. Chaos rules the day and their jobs are to destroy anything productive.

Personally, I do not want Trump sending in the guard. The next time one of these leftists wins the White House, you are going to have a party full of people who approve of killing political opposition running the show. Just look at the demons that have celebrated the killings taking place the last few months. Go watch the video this morning of the Demon running for Governor of VA that refused to denounce a political ally openly calling for republicans and their kids to be shot. This is the thought process taking over the Democrat party now. Just straight up violence, no debate. That's why it is vital to release their foot soldiers back on the streets to terrorize you.

When they get in power again, they will make punishing the J6 crowd look like child's play.

I have to hand it to the left. They don't just talk. They follow through on their threats to censor, jail, and ultimately kill you. Now they are brave enough to admit it and openly smile about it during live, broadcasted political debates for office.

I live in one of the last decent places in the state, and I still can't wait to leave. My kids are in high school and we are pretty much forcing them to go out of state for college and we plan on leaving when they do.

Mine are just a hair younger but the wife and I have had the exact same conversations. They are going out of state and we are following. We have had the exact conversations every time we come back from vacations or business trips where Louisiana just looks awful.

Yeah because decent people getting attacked and brutalized deserve it. As long as the visitors are safe…

Louisiana federalized. Not applicable to New Orleans at all.

New Orleans has the 47th largest GDP in America. It’s not a major city, at all

Has tourism fallen off in NOLA? I quit going there about 7-8 years ago. I do read there are a lot of businesses going out of business in the FQ so that's a pretty good indicator I would surmise.

I feel the same about the democrat shitholes that let antifa run their streets let them burn it down because you know damn well those mayors allow it. You notice it’s always the Portlands and Seattle that they riot at.

Living in NOLA is a choice. Visiting is also a choice but that is by far the most important part of the economy

And saying outside of protecting tourists, the rest of the city can rot is a choice too.

New Orleans is filled with hard working, decent people. frick them though, because internet lulz or something.

I agree with you here…BUT…what happens when crime goes down and the Guard leaves. Everybody was celebrating how safe NOLA was during the Super Bowl. Yea - because it was an armed camp !
Here we are 9 months later and NOLA. Is back to being NOLA.

Totally agree. It’s the 59th largest metro area behind places like Tulsa and Rochester. You’re right though - it has far more to offer than those areas. I think realizing that New Orleans isn’t a major city with a large economy may actually help solve issues more efficiently.

Which only illustrates how historically shitty the city has been.
