I think I read where this is no longer the case since taller buildings have been built up around the terminal.

Not to mention, people cant smoke in there anymore, which made the sunbeams stand out in that picture

I always thought Rachel Weisz had that hot Ukranian thing going on, but didn't know she could time travel.

The picture of the priest with the soldier is very powerful.

Also, Grace Kelly was one of the GOAT. Classy and beautiful.

Amusement park rides from the early 20th century weren't exactly known for their safety. But if this terrifying attraction from 1919 had ever been built, it probably would've been the most dangerous ride ever constructed. Dreamt up by two New York inventors, this thing would obviously never fly in Disneyland. The idea? Thrill seekers would be strapped into pivoting chairs inside a capsule that looked like a gigantic bullet. Then that capsule would be shot out of an enormous cannon — an "electric gun" as they called it — only to land in what's basically a 30m tall martini glass. But it doesn't end there. The capsule would splash down into the huge structure and zip through an enormous water flume, landing in a lake below. Guide rails and a conveyor belt would send the capsules back around to where they started, where riders could do the whole nauseating trick all over again — provided they had another quarter.

I remember that. A horrible way to die and most people not in the crush had no idea that a tragedy was happening right in front of them

Damn - George V looks like Nicholas II. Because of Queen Victoria, I wonder how many of those cats were cousins or uncle/nephews to each other.

Actually, King George V, Kaiser Wilhelm, and Tsar Nicholas were all first cousins.

Yeah, I remember them being all cousins. It's been a while since I learned this so I may be off somewhere..but, if memory serves me, I believe all the European monarchs are related through either Queen Victoria's line or King Christian IX of Denmark's line. Not 100% sure though.
