All of this. But I’ll still go eat there if I chose. People that don’t is on them and their business.

My pictures should have been like for like. So, it would be this:

Also, this:

Compared to this:

I'm not saying that it is horrible...I am saying that it is a waste of resources and tries to solve a problem that doesn't exist.

I will also add that the stock price is at $54.95. This time last month, it was right at $71 per share. At its peak in November 2018, it was around $181 per share. Note, it hasn't had a stock split since 1993, so these are more apples to apples prices.

So it appears that they've been testing this out for a long time, as the picture below is from nearly 10 years ago.

considering the post that started this all is currently sitting at a 16:69 UV:DV ratio,

Imagine basing your judgment on the upvote/downvote ratio of TD posters, particularly in a thread like this with a bunch of angry blue hairs screaming about their beloved corporate restaurant chain changing its logo.

And “the post that started this” is still 100% accurate, so who gives a frick what you and the rest of the angry Cracker Barrel fanbois think?

they even fricked up the apology

"The things people love most about our stores aren't going anywhere."

except they already have. Uncle Hershel may be on the menu, but he ain't on the sign. "A place where everyone feels at home.". Only they don't. Cause you completely redecorated specifically to alienate the old/existing customers.
What a horrible attempt to spin their mistake in a positive light. They deserve to fold.

All about making the real estate more appealing to potential investors rather than giving a shite about actual customers. Typical c-level grifting bullshite.

No it’s not. It’s about a rebrand to a very different type of restaurant. Investors in a restaurant chain don’t give a shite how it’s decorated; they care about P&L and the balance sheet, and maybe the cash outlook.

I can think of eating there twice in my lifetime and that was when we were traveling. They aren’t anywhere close to where I live. Best I remember I got a chicken fried steak which is generally what I get at these places. I didn’t stop there for the decor but my wife liked to browse the store part.

Right when I sold. As a bonus it was just after the EX-Dividend date.

So I have a question. I don’t know a lot about the restaurant business but are CB’s franchise owned like fast food restaurants? So could franchise owners/GMs say “No, I’m not changing my store around” or slow roll it like I’ve seen some Dunkin’s in Florida?

It really boggles my mind how these gargantuan companies that have spent decades building up their brand suddenly can’t comprehend the value in that brand. Makes me wonder what is being taught nowadays in the top business schools.

And by brand, I don’t mean just the logo that this idiot woman CEO has changed, though it’s an important aspect of it. A company’s brand is far more than the sign on the front of the building or the logo on their product. What I mean is the overall experience and atmosphere Cracker Barrel customers have grown to love over the decades. Their brand is nostalgic old-school American rural Southeast culture and food. That’s what people want and expect from Cracker Barrel. It’s literally their brand. Take that away and you take away the reason people go to Cracker Barrel.
