Type any 3 numbers and followed ‘new cases’ into google and report back

Haven’t found a combo yet that doesn’t return a resulr

The term “new cases” has been tagged to coronavirus within google’s algorithm so that almost any search term added to the words “new cases” will cause google results to display links to corona virus articles on page 1.

Few examples:

New cases dog
New cases cat
New cases rhino
New cases bicycle
New cases party
New cases sunflower

It’s nothing more than the search engine manipulating results. Considering there are millions and millions of articles about this virus, it’s quite easy for them to do.

Could also be a reflection of the algorithm being influenced by your browsing/search history. It's going to provide results on Corona since that is what you spend time researching.

That certainly has an affect.

An illegal protester blocking the roadway could have been thrown through the windshield and broke the driver's neck.

Another thing that’s happening in home health is that nurses perform COVID tests on patients. If the patient tests positive, that’s one case. The nurse then visits the patient on a regular schedule and performs a COVID test on every visit. If the same patient tests positive again, boom, another case. Depending on how long the patient is actually sick, that same person can be responsible for multiple cases based on being tested multiple times while “sick.”

There was a thread the other day where posters said they have totally recovered from the virus, but it can show on tests for up to 6 weeks due to the time it takes for your body to shed a virus. Their workplaces are requiring a negative test in order to return, so they're getting tested every couple days so they can return to work.

Last week on the Today show one of their medical news reporter stated that strokes and heart attacks were down over 20 percent to date than last year. Hmmm.

I can tell you that one of the ME's field staff came out to a death by cardiac arrest (male, mid-40s, morbidly obese with cardiac history) and didn't even look at the body. Yep, marked it down as a Covid death.

My brother works at a local business where a co-worker was diagnosed with Covid-19 so they tested everyone there.

The initial test showed 9 people including my brother had it as well. He was sent home. About a day and a half later it was found that all 9 were false positives and none had it.

I wonder if the 9 were still counted as positive cases? My brother does not know.

How did they figure out they were false positives?

So, you’re comparing his direct information from a healthcare professional to fourth hand information from a likely stranger?

Sounds like the nurse he was talking to was little more than a stranger too.

That doesn’t change anything about the information or its source.

Yeah the Colorado Governor is one of the few honest ones. It's such a great state.

In a perfect world we would have people in the hospital with covid, people in the hospital because of covid, and only count deaths that covid was the main culprit. In reality, that is a logistical nightmare. That, however, doesn't give politicians and media free reign to use those numbers to misrepresent reality.
Y’all are making a bigger deal out of this than it really is. At the worst of times in NYC the % of folks with COVID was probably 3%. So the odds of a person in the hospital, who tests positive for COVID, being there for a different reason is 3 % AT MOST. Take off 3% of the cases, and the picture barely changes. Quit focusing on that.

Google provides results that are most relevant. Calling that "manipulation" is kind of silly.

Considering there are millions and millions of articles about this virus, it’s quite easy for them to do.
Or, you know, considering there are millions and millions of articles about new cases, they are highly likely to be included in the results.

And btw, for me "new cases sunflower" only has 1 result on the first page about covid, and it is result #10. There is a Sunflower County in Mississippi.

Similarly, there is only 1 result about covid for "new cases rhino". The website is Rhino Times.

"New cases bicycle" has several results because people are buying more bikes in NYC due to covid.

HUGE nothingburger here.
