And have no clue it was them, and then repeat the process in Texas. Then blame it on rich people, corporations, and Republicans.

I guess maybe 25% of the employees will actually come?

They surely arent going to pay relocation for all when they can be replaced in tx.

Apparently it’s really hard to click a link.

“A small percentage of roles may move from San Francisco to Westlake over time, either through relocation or attrition.”

The “vast majority” of Bay Area-based roles are not anticipated to be affected by the move, it said. Schwab expects to retain a sizable corporate footprint in the city.

Sorry to burst your bubble.

They already had a sizable presence in Dallas. As did TD Ameritrade. Which they took over.

And they bought USAA asset management, iirc (group name my be wrong) which I’m assuming is also based in Texas.

But, morons like Madtown don’t read. And want fellow Americans to lose their jobs.

Pretty typical. Mass relocations are tough and disruptive and expensive. Instead you stop growing in the old HQ and basically all new positions are posted to your new hub and you shift jobs as they open up due to retirement or people moving companies.

Wells Fargo has done the same with SF and Charlotte. SF is the HQ but Wells has far more people here in Charlotte.

You may not realize it but, I think it was Romney when he ran against Obama, got more absolute votes in California than he did in Texas and Louisiana combined. So don’t assume every transplant is a progressive. Yes the right of center socially are greatly out numbered out here, but there are fiscal conservatives. And they may be the ones jumping at the chance if they can make a nice sum on their house to buy one in Texas and their net take home pay goes up, assuming they can get their kids in a good school if that is an issue. The problem is once you leave, really hard to move back. But it is a frequent topic of discussion.

"There are many companies making decisions like this one – or at least moving out jobs from California.

Some 660 companies moved 765 facilities out of that state in the past two years, and Dallas-Fort Worth has been the beneficiary of many of the relocations, according to a recent report. They involve corporate headquarters, manufacturing facilities, data centers, research hubs, software and engineering centers and a few warehouses, according to business relocation expert Joe Vranich, president of Spectrum Location Services."

Chevron is the next California based Fortune 500 company that everyone expects to announce its relocation to Houston next year if not before.

The company to really watch is Wells Fargo as there are constant rumors that its lease is up in the next four years and they are looking to relocate their corporate headquarters to Texas.

I love when the residents of Louisiana trash California as if it's the shithole. Is there a single good stat Louisiana is near the top of as far as states go? shite healthcare, shite education, shite economy, shite politicians, shite infrastructure, shite crime rate, last in the US in pollution, 48th in internet access, 45th in transportation, last in economic opportunity.

But liberals in California are the real problem.
