There have been 68 recent deaths of residents and nurses from the facility in a small New Jersey town.

the police in a small New Jersey town had gotten an anonymous tip about a body being stored in a shed outside one of the state’s largest nursing homes.
When the police arrived, the corpse had been removed from the shed, but they discovered 17 bodies piled inside the nursing home in a small morgue intended to hold no more than four people.

The 17 were among 68 recent deaths linked to the long-term care facility, Andover Subacute and Rehabilitation Center I and II, including two nurses, officials said. Of those who died, 26 people had tested positive for the virus.
For the others, the cause of death is unknown.
Of the patients who remain at the homes, housed in two buildings, 76 have tested positive for the virus; 41 staff members, including an administrator, are sick with Covid-19,

SURELY there is more to this story? Surely an administrator followed protocol and the law and contacted authorities and they were heretofore aware of the situation.

What's the motive for the cover-up?
Lose federal aid?

I don’t wanna say this is fake news, but I distinctly remember hearing this story as being debunked because it originated on some Chinese diplomat website. A quick google search reveals a similar story in Spain. I can’t find the other story though because google only gives me this story because it’s trending.

It just says 17 bodies of 68 recent deaths and 2 of the deaths were nurses. Not sure if the nurses were stacked in the shed

Yeah, I think they were 2 of the 68 deaths. Not the 17

If this is real, that would be my number 1 bestest 100% final answer, Regis.

Potential motive
Pay so much for Papa Joe to be at the Home. Store his body long enough and collect so much per week and if he has no visitors, who's to tell what month he died?

Depends on what level POS nursing home company we're talking about.
I could absolutely see them trying to continue to collect money on those people once they passed.
I could also see them not notifying the families of the ones they suspected had COVID-19 and trying to cover that up until they came up with a plan. I was reading earlier about a family that didn't even know their loved one had died until they were contacted by the hospital (they weren't even told their loved one had been transported and tested for COVID-19).

More info, this time a state from the French President.
Again I’m not saying it’s fake news but this pattern of behavior by the Chinese is absolutely real. Until I see a NJ health official briefing the public on it, I’m skeptical.
quote:
A long statement in French was released Sunday on the website of China’s embassy to France in an apparent response to criticism from Western media, experts and politicians over China’s handling of the virus outbreak.
quote:
The statement, presented as written by an unnamed Chinese diplomat in Paris, notably stated that caregivers in French nursing homes have “collectively deserted, letting their residents dying from starvation and disease.”
