The fricking KFC recipe has never been leaked. I'm sure under the threat of life in solitary confinement, or something far worse, that people could keep aliens a secret.

Anonymous lost his street cred during the 2016 election
if it's the same Anonymous.

I really hate this supposition. It is the height of arrogance for humanity to think that any intelligent life will only be found on Earth like plants. Why is is so impossible to believe that whatever other life that is out there breathes methane and requires an atmosphere with thousands of pounds of pressure and extreme heat to survive? Hell, there are extremophiles here on Earth that defy what we think should be required for life.

Life is out there, but it has not crossed interstellar space in ships for us.

Some argue that human are not originally of this planet (brought here by meterorite/panspermia). We are the aliens...

This thread has a few wackos. "Anonymous" is just single fat dudes living in their mom's basement typing on keyboards slathered with cheeto dust while simultaneously whining about how girls don't like gentlemen or how fat they are. They're not even linked together or a part of a group. They just call themselves that because they think it sounds sweet but it's just more 4chan autism.

As much as I'd like this to be true, I just can't see Anonymous or anyone getting this type of information. Finding alien life especially advanced life would be easily the biggest find in human existence. It would throw all religions into a tailspin and brew a ton of conspiracy theories.

My guess is Trump and a bunch of other world leaders would be gathering with NASA at the UN to make a major announcement

Let's just assume it is true. It would mean we have already been communicating, and survived. They would be sharing knowledge, and we could advance at a faster pace. Science, health, etc. Would be a great time to be alive.

How did it work out when these guys just wanted to help?

Astronomers estimate 80-100 billion habitable planets in the universe. If that number is off by say, 40 billion, that's still hard to believe that not one of them besides ours has life.

Also, why would NASA delay in telling the world? Wouldn't the U.S. making this discovery be a boon politically?

It seems to me that they would want to put that information out as soon as possible.
