I did a project in middle school on the Duckbilled Platypus now that’s a weird creature.
I’m also fascinated by Piranhas.

Yeah that one is
Giraffes fascinate me since they take about 5-6 6 minute naps a day and have the most powerful kick in the animal kingdom. For this reason you will hardly ever see them lay down

I'm not a big zoo guy though. I always get depressed to see animals like this restricted to a zoo. Obviously its a different story if born in captivity because they can't be released in the wild, so I get it.
I look at it a little differently. I agree the best thing would be them living in the wild, but then they have to deal with poachers who dgaf and will eradicate entire species.
I like animals, and there are some incredible animals that might disappear without zoos and other protection. It'd be a damn shame if that happened.

So they don’t sleep at length at all?

Exactly. I’m curious to know how he goes about selecting which animal to showcase? Does he just Google exotic and strange animals?
I generally speaking just read a lot about animals. I always have, since I was a child.

I actually thought you might have worked with animals but nothing wrong with taking an interest in something.

I always thought I kept Zoobooks in business growing up but I bet your collection puts mine to shame.

Beautiful cats. Here's one I photographed at the Nashville zoo several years ago.
