re: Anheuser-Busch still hemorrhaging and selling off beer brands

Anheuser-Busch is now being forced to SELL OFF several of their beer brands.
No they're not being forced to sell. Craft beer sales have been declining for the last 2 years and so inBev sold these at a profit before the value of those brands declines further. inBev had actually ceased production of the Energy drink so selling it looks like a good move.

The craft beer market struggled through the pandemic and was stagnant in 2022, with the overall beer market overall falling by 3%. The rise of other preferred beverages such as cider and seltzer among younger drinkers, combined with less consumption overall among that demographic, has slowed craft beer’s once double-digit growth.

InBev had a profit of about $3billion last quarter, I think they'll be ok.

Stating facts. I think using a trans was stupid on their part and they have suffered for it but this latest sale was not related to that, it was more about overall market trends.

I don’t know how they can deny that this hasn’t been a complete disaster for InBev.

Is that before our after they mention AB losing $27 billion in market value?

Zappa's the type to fashion himself a progressive "for the people" and can't wait to "stick it to the man" while he will go into paroxysms of rage if you don't get your Pfizer jab.

People making this out as some sort of conservative win for "go woke, go broke" may actually be retarded.

This is a name I haven't heard in a long time. I don't think I've seen one of their beers in the last 5 years.
I used to drink the Redhook ESB occasionally. Can still get them at Fred Meyer (Ralph's in SoCal), but that's the only place I've seen their stuff.

Tell us what market values is exactly.
He means market cap, its pretty obvious that the lost of 27 billion is not the only reason they are selling, but probably a good reason so shed off low or break even profit brands.

it depressing to anyone else that our big “win” in light of 2020 and 2022 is a shitty beer being ditched by consumers?

Pretty impressive that one little queer can create a chain of events that cause (rightfully so) a huge company to lose $27 billion.

I love the upvotes for this statement. Bud light sales are slumping thanks to boycotts and advocacy against by people with OT/Poli mindsets. To validate the quoted opinion is to label yourselves as retarded or poor.

I had no idea Breck was AB.
It's really sad to see what happened to them after the takeover. Before you could go in there and they would have 5-10 experimental beers on tap. Now you go in and it's nothing but their C average flagship crap.

When they start breaking out Spuds McKenzie then you will know the end is nigh

Wrong brands.
Should have sold the Budweiser brands. "Under new ownership" is the only way out for BL.

It’s especially sweet when the little wokster crowd on here said it would have zero effect and last a few weeks at most. Everyday that passes that plate of crow grows into a banquet hall….
