Have the other 4 charter captains in the boat been discussed?
They just sat on their asses quietly instead of trying to deescalate the situation.

if you search for them, they show as "popular now" in the results... and their pages are predictably gone now.

I don't feel bad for them because they tacitly endorsed that POS's behavior... In FL, I think they can even be charged with the same crime as him under the principal theory (not that I think they should or should not).

Why does social media keep acting like the victim here was 14 years old or something.

Was it 4 or 5 grown men on that boat? Let that happen to my 21/22 year old son, and that charter captain is going to have me knocking on his door to have a conversation.

probably because he repeatedly told the guy that he was just a kid

but 22 is still extremely young in comparison to a 40yo licensed professional in terms of what went on here

Seems like he is choosing to step on a kids boat not someone who would call his bluff.

Typical pussy overcompensating for his shortcomings. Talks shite to a kid when it’s 6 vs 1. What a pussy.

The kid may have acted differently if he were in a 1 on 1 situation with the charter captain. The charter captain might not have been so brave either had he been alone.

No doubt. And obviously captain dickhead is the aggressor here, but if I’m a bystander and see two adults in an argument, my urge to step in isn’t nearly the same as if its an adult and an actual child.

Yes, if it's 5 grown "men" like it was on that boat.

I would think he’d lose his captain’s license over this, right?

The "kids" friend that was with him the previous night did some yapping to the captain. Not defending the jackass captain by any means but he didn't just randomly pick that boat to start shite with. I think the "kid" was all about talking shite at first and then started to shite his pants as the dude got closer. Classic case of FAFO for both sides.

oh for sure. but these were his friends-- not that anyone I know would act like this, but I would 100% call them out or hold them back. these guys pretty much just held his earrings, so to speak.
