Ok so even in the story it didn't say what exactly started the conflict. Why was he going off on her? I though it was a drive through but it's not. It's a walk up. If so how did she manage to cut in line over him ?

I'm sure it was obvious that he was next in line but she cut in line and then said something smart arse when he pointed out that she cut in line.
I too have been skipped in line (disproportionately by a particular culture) and it is very aggravating.
