To be fair he says that but then his point devolves into how we don’t have enough self control to use them properly (valid) and at some point his take becomes only wearing an N95 is the only viable option (which isn’t true). Which I understand, he’s a comedian and it ruins the flow of the joke when you start putting a bunch of caveats on things. The takeaway should be “learn some fricking self control, in both directions. Don’t be a dick and not wear a mask to be contrarian but also don’t wear your mask in places and situations where it doesn’t make sense just to feel holier than though”
Like his example about people crossing the street to avoid him, that’s fricking stupid behavior. Wear a mask if you’re going somewhere with a lot of people (like a grocery store)and if you’re walking down a sidewalk and someone is walking toward you, just give each other a little space and go about your shite.

I think his take is that the people on either side that are hardcore about the issue need to calm the frick down.

Had to go to Walmart today, and the cashier’s gloves looked like she had been wearing them through the whole pandemic. They looked disgusting.
