I’m gonna need a link showing the Sumerians’ knowledge of Antarctica and ice sheets.

LINK

They also knew how many planets were in the solar system and that they revolved around the sun

I’m loving the reply’s here. I’m close to people who have valuable property in places that could be severely affected by sea level rise. Many of these people are concerned about property values going forward. It’s not a matter of whether the water will rise significantly in the future or not as much as it is whether people think that it will or not. The perception affects the value. Someone might get stuck holding the bag or people who don’t think the water will rise might own all the beach front property in the USA at a fairly cheap price.

The sumarian flood wasn't supposedly caused by ice melting in Antarctica. There's nothing in their writing to suggest it

Well what's your hypothesis? God sent the flood to cleanse man of our sins?

Are you stupid?

We can bicker about the cause of climate change, but we know shite has changed drastically over long periods of time since the beginning of creation. Arguing it's impossible for the ice sheet to disappear - an ice sheet that has disappeared in the past - is asinine. Plus, you misunderstand how the ice sheet would disappear. It's not going to melt in place, it's going to collapse and move into the ocean, where melting is quite obviously much easier.

The West Antarctic Ice Sheet isn't sitting in the water. It's mostly on land.

A large portion of this board is so adamant man-made climate change is BS (I tend to agree) that they'll argue against climate change in it's entirety. It's tiresome.

His own peers don’t even believe him. Link reads like an Ancient Aliens episode.

When did people's politics or feelings become more important than science? I'm sure you would dismiss the anti-vaxers, flat earthers, BLM, etc. as someone's feelings and politics trumping overwhelming evidence to a contrary conclusion.

Ha! Are you putting anti-vaxxers, and BLM with flat earthers?? Ha! What a total loon you are.

Your rant was so emotional. are you in the male birth control gel test group?? Or are you a chick?

Climate change is real, I'm just sick of the doomsday prophecies that have turned it into a pseudo religion.

No doubt.

I think it's pretty fascinating to research, but I tune out when they grasp for that the correlation between carbon fuels and warming = causation for change.

Yeah, the writer asked why hasn't the theory caught on with the mainstream? Probably because it's fantasy

Of course it is. We wouldnt have seasons if it werent. Also, we would not exist after the big ice age if the earth didnt get warmer over time.

Problem is that there are so many people pushing that it's caused by humans the last 100 yrs, instead of mother nature being her bitch self. All the "proof" has money behind it directing it.

Well, the originators of global warming are the ones who lumped all of it together. The people attacking it are doing the same.

The argument is being made against the fudging of climate change numbers to make the temp differences appear larger, which has been done.

Climate is cyclical and always has been. My understanding is that the solar cycles are the biggest factor in global temp changes.

I think it's happening but the extent of mankind's involvement is unclear at best. I also thinks it's a huge power and money grab attempt by the left.
