Hurt or not you stay down and hold your knee to avoid the embarrassment. Dude could be perfectly fine but will still wear a brace and fake a limp for the next 12 months.

Odds he faked the slip and fall because the settlement for a threat of lawsuit, even for just a sprain, is worth more than the contest prize?
To me it looked like the floor was wet....and he ate shite on accident.
I dont like lawsuits but this one looks legit. Dudes ACL is gone.

100% chance a waiver is signed for this kind of thing. And if not, it's printed on the back of the ticket.
What if the injury happens under negligence? Like if the floor was supposed to clean of slick spots and the floor crew failed to do that.

"Lost his footing and landed on his back" doesn't seem like the right description.
The guy blew out his knee, no?

My first serious girlfriend worked as a hostess for the Shreveport Captains minor league baseball team. One of her tasks were the onfield contests like dizzy bat races and throw the ball through the hole in the banner games. This was in 1996 and you had to sign a waiver then, couldn't imagine a NBA team in 2025 not having them.

I'd imagine even if he signed a waiver, the Hawks may still give him some season tickets or some type of comp, just to avoid the bad publicity.

They don't make them sign waivers for that kind of stuff?
