My grandparents earned "The Greatest Generation" moniker...how it only took one generation to completely frick up everything they accomplished will be something historians will ponder for decades, if not centuries. Considering Trump is basically the Boomers' final "frick you" to the world, your generation might very well lead to the end of this country as we know it.

The world is in the best shape it's ever been
Your standard of living is greater than your parents or grandparents will ever have.. The environment is cleaner, standards of living are higher and you will work fewer hours than people have ever before, and you can think industry and relatively free markets.
Roosevelt and LBJ are the two who should draw your ire.

Don't want to wade too far into politics here..I prob went too far as it is.
That said, my reference was more of an institutional view than a demographic view of the future.

Yep. The welfare state is causing Idiocracy to become reality. Those least capable of raising children into productive citizens are breeding the most.
That and mass immigration from 3rd world countries will be the downfall of the US.
