Longest I’ve gone is 72 months at 1.9%. I’m getting better returns on my money

That's exactly what you said.

But I guess you didn't mean it, eh?

Not if you know anything about cars.
Buy a Honda or Toyota or Lexus. Have a car buddy look at it first. Problem solved.

What I'm saying is high interest rates aren't inherently bad. Interest rates are cyclical, just like the economy.

I agree with you there. I think they should be near historically average levels right now or slightly higher.

We have an entire generation of young people that don't understand that cheap money won't last. I'm simply arguing that they absolutely had negative effects on your average middle class family in the past.

And you did the right thing. 90% of people don't know how to calculate what they're actually paying for these cars, that's my point.

I guess you missed 4 out of 6 of the words in the quote. Don’t know how you did that.

Because most people are stupid, therefor I have no sympathy. I interest rates should present opportunity, not angst.

Roger isn't a very good reader, but he has extreme confidence in his factually incorrect arguements.

I didn't. You didn't exclude anyone. You should probably only quote the part you are speaking to

It’s because millennials value status:

In part because of social media that fuels our ever increasing narcissism.
-the idea that a bachelor degree should equal a highly paid well respected job resulting in massive debt
-that white Americans are the “problem”, less kids will “save the planet”

Lot of this comes from the Left.

So kids & peers, frick all the time, go to trade school, reject the public education system and get off social media.

Use that travel money to take your kids to Disney World.

Most likely true.

In the 70s, you had to be able to do at least light maintenance on your vehicle

You're vehicle also wasn't controlled by a $20k computer chip.

I guess conservatism is only a thing in America. I didn’t know we were so special.

Can you focus? First you call me a degenerate and not conservative (not what I called myself anyway) with no support. Then you implied my reasoning for not having kids was because I valued "casual hookups" over marriage, also with no support. Now you are on to international politics for some reason.

If you don't believe free market economics is the basis for modern conservatism, go read some Bastiat or Smith and get back to me.

True. Too bad President Obama's father didn't give him tens of millions to "start" his business. Obama could have been bankrupting businesses instead of teaching constitutional law.

Two years later and your brain is still broken. Guess what, your daily life is materially no different than it was 4 years ago, or 10 years ago.

FIFY. Many can pay cash for a vehicle. Just not that 2019 Yukon with heated and cooled seats, 360 back up camera, Italian leather seats, etc.

Most Americans have confused "standard of living" with "cost of living" when assessing their needs for housing, and transportation.
