An actual mention of the Sterling decision from DOJ

A friend who is a FFL (Federal Firearm Licensee) just received an email from a usdoj.gov address signed by an ATF Investigative Analyst that states the "information will be announced in the near future."
It allows FFL's to take extra measures to protect their inventory due to the "potential for civil unrest in the Baton Rouge area."
I am cutting and pasting part of the email but redacting the portions regarding safety measures since this is an open forum. Not that the email is "classified" or anything but don't want to alert any lurkers to plans. So what do y'all think this means?

Good afternoon,
Please advise all of your locations in East Baton Rouge Parish of Louisiana that there is a potential for civil unrest in the Baton Rouge area due to the pending DOJ announcement regarding the Alton Sterling shooting. It is expected that this information will be announced in the near future. The New Orleans Field Division is requesting all licensees in the area take precautions to secure their inventory and records. To most effectively protect the public, the New Orleans Field Division will allow active firearms licensees in the Baton Rouge area to XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX. We are hoping that this will prevent the theft or loss of firearms as well as ensure the security of required ATF records and enhance the overall goal of public safety. This allowance is for those FFL holders within a 50 mile radius of Baton Rouge. The allowance will be granted for no more than seven days after the announcement is made public. After that period, XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX, as required by regulations.

So my source that said April 25th or some time later can still be right. Nice.

This doesn't give us any new info

I'm not trying to be an a-hole, but this doesn't tell us anything we don't already know. It is nice that it is from a DOJ source, but there have been other reputable sources that said "in the near future." We all know it's coming, the burning question is when.

Just got a text from a friend with information that has been correct up to this point. "Not happening today or likely at all this week." TIFWIW

Louisiana is such a shite hole. It's like another country.

It's funny. Just keep telling them maybe tomorrow or the next day or in the near future. Let's drag this shite out for months and months.
We all know what the decision is:
The felon that was in possession with illegal weapon and resisted arrest was shot / killed. LEO was 100% justified in their actions.
Again, it's time to move on folks.

How can their information have been correct? Absolutely nothing has happened. So your friend said nothing would happen?
