Last week I flew from Atlanta to Houston via Southwest. Flight was late leaving because someone (a mechanic, I think) took the flight logbook and nobody could find it for like 30 minutes while we all sit there.
This, of course, is after standing in line at security listening to TSA agents Quantisha and Felon’tre shriek at you about your shoes DO NOT GO IN THE BIN!

Well chief… I understand issues arise. But to send everyone from a broken plane to another broken plane and every AA act dumb like they have no idea what the frick is going on is another thing.

That old crew probably should’ve just said “frick it” to not inconvenience you then run the risk of not configuring the plane correctly for landing due to pilot fatigue.

The few times that I've flown American, it always resulted in disappointment. I only fly with Delta and Southwest now.

Here's the deal. They pay me pretty well. And 98% of the time I release the brakes and press the easy button. 1% of the time they pay me the big bucks to handle s*** when it goes down. The other 1% of the time they pay me the big bucks to say no and avoid s*** going down.
When I have to say no, I'd rather you just hit the airport bar, have a cold one and say thank you. Jackass!!

American is absolute garbage. Canceled a flight a few years ago in Nova Scotia and their solution was a new flight five days later.

I don’t give a frick about getting ratioed. I get maintenance can force a decision to get off the plane and board another. The point you are missing is the backup plane that they put us on had issues as well. Why would they put us on plane that had issues when we just came from one?

I used to fly A LOt and i learned that 9 times out of ten it’s because they don’t have enough people to do the preflight checks or fix minor issues cause these people never showed up or called out sick due to the end of the year.
