Agreed, but the right planning helps.
The 3 On Ramps at Williams in Kenner to I 10 East followed by Power on ramp definitely a bad design. The highway there is 3 lanes but still backs up and the merge lanes are too short or no one in LA knows how to use them.

It’s plainly obvious. But I think you have to be old enough to remember a less crowded America to realize it. There are 130 million more people here than when I was born. Probably 150 million with illegals. Almost 200 million more than when Construction on the interstates began.
