Hell they even refunded me for something that was supposed to arrive in 2 days and didn’t arrive until the 3rd day.

Now I was at home waiting on this order with the shades on the front doors open, and the package said delivered even though it was not. I emailed Amazon and they refunded me, and said if you get it eventually keep it.

I don't order much from Amazon, but every order that transferred to the USPS to deliver has been lost.

Gotcha. The item cost me less than $10, it's an a/v splitter and I was having trouble finding it locally so I just ordered it.

In the past for thia kins of thing, they'll chalk it up to a loss and refund/resend.

I've even had them say to keep an item I returned

About one month later the original order arrived with no damage
My parents had a graduation ring made for me back in the 80's and mailed it insured and certified USPS. Really nice sapphire and diamond settings made by a guy in KC, KS (Yes KS not MO).

Ring didn't show up till about 8 months later. Literally the day I went to deposit the USPS Insurance check after jumping through their hoops. On way out to the credit union I checked their mail (Mom & Dad's). There sat the package. Not marked "return to sender" or anything. No explanation.

I deposited the check, Dad gave his buddy that made the ring the ring back. Used the $1500 (+$800 more) on a Helzberg Rolex design sapphire and diamond ring I still have to this day.

yep, one time I received a package that the label did not match. I had received my order a few days prior and then another package showed up. I scanned the label back when you could and it said contained the original items I had ordered, but there was no way since this box weighed about 20 pounds and was like 4 times the size. Opened it and it had a PC battery backup worth about about $180. Called them and told them I hadnt ordered it....they checked my account and couldnt find a record. They told me I couldnt send it back because it had a hazard sticker on it. Said I could keep it or donate it to someone. So just kept it.

This is one of the main reasons Amazon is building its own delivery service.

This has happened to me several times and I’ve been SOL because amazon says it is on Usps for losing it (or because someone stole it) because it says delivered.

What?

I've had Amazon show a confirmed delivery and they still immediately send me out a replacement. All they do is ask if you looked around and made sure it's not under some rock or at a neighbor's and they accept that.

It's here and it sucks balls. I never had a problem getting my stuff until Amazon delivery took over my area. I think they hire street people.

Update:

The last ping was at 5:13 AM Thursday morning when it was transferred to local postal carrier for final delivery.

Last night, new pings appeared.

Monday, 7:50 PM - Package arrived at a carrier facility. (for the area in which I live)

Monday, 9:05 PM - Package arrived at a carrier facility. (New Orleans Distribution Center)

Tuesday. 2:56 AM - Package has left the carrier facility (New Orleans Distribution Center)

Tuesday, 9:38 AM - Package arrived at carrier facility (Point a la Hache, LA) (umm... this isn't the one near me)

Tuesday, 9:42 AM - Possible delay in delivery due to arrival at incorrect carrier facility (uh no kidding)

So it was "transferred to local postal carrier for final delivery" in St. Bernard on Thurs morning, then went silent until it arrived at same carrier facility Monday night, then went to a regional facility, then went to the wrong carrier facility.

I'm wondering if there is a problem with the address on the package.
