Ordered a $200 camera and didn't want it left by the front door and risk it possibly being stolen.

So I had it sent to a pick-up location close to the house (Ross Dress for Less on Siegen Lane). I walked, scanned the bar code and boom! There it was safe and secure.

From now on if I order something of value I will 100% have it sent to a pickup location.

Catnip can still come to the house.

Anyone else use this service? It's great.

I ordered it for a friend who doesn't have an Amazon account...the Pussy is safe.

I haven't even thought about using something like this. I've never had an issue with deliveries being stolen though.

I had to return a couple things from Christmas and was able to just drop them at Whole Foods. No box or anything. They boxed it up and put the label on it. Very convenient.

Thankfully I can leave anything on my porch and not have to worry about it being stolen

If this is something you really have concerns with, work as hard as you can and make enough money to move.

Using a pick up location sounds a lot easier than moving.

I have a large lock box by the front door.

They lift the top, put the package/s in the box and close the lid and it locks. The packages aren’t sitting by the door. Never had an issue.

Also, they can use a code and signal for your garage to open, out the packages just inside the garage, and then when they complete the deliver, their system will close your garage.

My sister does the garage one and has never had an issue nor has the garage ever been left open because their system won’t complete the delivery without closing the garage.

Whole Foods near us has lockers for secure delivery. I get my packages sent to my office, but I tested the Whole Foods system once, and it worked well.

Our WF also recently expanded and improved the area for making returns.

It's even better to live in a neighborhood where you don't have to do that

If you live somewhere that you're concerned folks will steal from you, you need to get up on out of there as soon as you have enough monty.

Why??? Amazon will credit your account if something happens to it. I'll take my chances. It doesn't affect me financially either way.
