This is not like traditional ITEP where the assets are new.

It's not an ITEP at all, but the assets most certainly will be new.

Amazon is at some point going to own everything. You ever watch those bullshite sci-fi movies with the mega corporations that have their hand in every industry and own your life? Amazon is definitely headed in that direction. Have you guys seen some of the tech this company is into now? They don't even need to use it, they can just prototype it and sell it to the highest bidder. Worst of all, they get the minimum taxes because poor states like Louisiana court them to come here with huge tax breaks. Then they just own your work force with thousands of jobs meaning they arguably have more power than your local government.

I ain't got no complaints with Amazon's service but damn that's a dangerous line to walk at some point.

But how is Gravy supposed to skim that?
It would truly be wasted upon him because he'd just eat it.

Sounds like liberal companies to me. Denying it is empty headed AOC level idiocy.

Why don’t you just embrace their liberalism instead of denying it and getting butt hurt over it?

They’re a liberal company that takes advantage of every benefit offered to it. That’s not political, that’s business.

IMHO, BR is receiving very little in property taxes on the Cortana site, comparatively speaking. With the Amazon site in place, the area will almost certainly see a resurgence in growth. A few new restaurants, maybe a new apartment complex or two. BR wont lose anything by giving up taxes for 10 years, but likely will ultimately gain a lot.

Even if Amazon is not dominating e-commerce in 10 years (it likely will), that business model is here to stay. If anything, it will accelerate.

You would think so, but you never know.

that's because you're a binary thinker. it can only be liberal or conservative. it can't be about power dynamics because that isn't something the glowy box on the wall says.
