As of 9:30 this morning, Amazon is showing my package was delivered and handed directly to a person...problem is nobody was home at 9:30 this morning. Anybody ever come across this? Should I not be expecting my package sitting on door step when I get home? Anybody ever come across this?

Yes

All the time. They probably just clicked that option on accident or they really don't GAF.

It's likely sitting on your doorstep.

copying my reply from the other thread you posted the same thing in...

$10 says they just dropped it off at your door and marked it as "handed to resident," because it was probably required.

I was thinking neighbor but we have huge 1+ acre lots so it's not like they just bumped into a neighbor while waking up my drive

The last amazon order we had come in, they included a pic of the package at our doorstep.

Check who shipped it. If it was USPS, then Amazon doesn't always have the correct info. Google the tracking #. My last package says handed to resident on Amazon., but USPS says it was put in the mailbox.

If Amazon logistics handled your package, you might as well call and get your money back.

That happened to me a year ago and it was given to my neighbor. Holler at them and see what they say.

FedEx showed my packages delivered 2 Thursday’s ago at 2:18pm. Come last Monday, still no package. Called Amazon and they refunded my money. Got 2 day shipping to my Mom’s house because it was a birthday gift and I was going to be at her house for Thanksgiving. Returned home last night and the package is sitting on my door step. Who needs a Tacky Christmas sweater and a gift for a 1 year old girl?

Amazon sucks right now. I ordered a camera for my daughter that wasn’t working properly and their solution was to refund my money because it was fulfilled by a 3rd party vendor and they didn’t have any in amazon stock. They are simply passing the buck rather than dealing with the vendor. They only want to make money, not deal with problems

Does it happen often that Amazon shows something as delivered that wasn't actually delivered? We had $50 worth of diapers shown as delivered Saturday, but we never saw the package. Not sure if the diapers were stolen off the porch or just never delivered

Amazon drivers are keeping shite and saying that it is delivered. Drivers being taken from the streets. Cluster for Baton Rouge right now. Read the threads.

If you're in BR and it was delivered by AMZL, you should just reorder it.

Although it's also likely to be on your doorstep and the idiots that deliver for AMZL can't read.

Have you ever had a package stolen before? If so, it's possible.

If not, it's likely the AMZL driver threw it in a ditch and went home early.

I had it happen once. The books were showing delivered, but they never arrived at my house.

I contacted Amazon, and they sent out replacement books. 2 weeks after receiving the replacements, the original books I ordered were delivered.
