Similar thing just happened to me. I called them and they gave me a partial credit and amazingly, the item was delivered the next day, when it said it wouldn't be for another week.

True but recently I've been running into an issue where it says on the product page I can get it in 1 or 2 days b/c I have Prime but then when I actually start the order it suddenly changes to 4 days or more.

Not a huge deal but a it's a bit annoying.

Just means free shipping. Only items that say two day shipping are two day.

Ordered a new fire stick, and I'm a prime member. I ordered this some time Saturday night. So I expected it to be here on Tuesday, like the order screen said. Somehow it got delayed between Chattanooga and Birmingham. It departed ATL sunday evening. Still not here. When I checked the tracking yesterday, no updates past leaving ATL. So I contact them, and now under my orders it says this:

Now expected January 10 - January 11
We're sorry your package is late
We don’t have a new delivery date, but we recommend waiting as it’ll usually arrive within a few days.
Please come back Friday if you still don't have it and we'll help you out.
Was expected Tuesday, January 9

I also received a reply to my email and they're extending my Prime membership for a month. I mean I don't really need something like that in 2 days, but they have been slipping some on the shipping lately. I can let the Christmas rush and slightly longer shipping go, since everyone is ordering stuff that time of year. But nothing should take more than 3-4 days to get from Chattanooga to Birmingham.

after my bitching to amazon cs, the drive magically appeared at my doorstep when i got home yesterday.

incredible. amazon is playing games. how is it possible to go from 'not yet shipped' to my house in a matter of hours after calling and complaining?

i think it has something to do with a major amazon warehouse sitting about 15 miles away from my house.

did almost this exact thing when i bought a fire. maybe they are having trouble keeping up with demand?

it ended up coming within a week, before the day they said.

- scheduled delivery between Jan9 and Jan12
- Amazon warehouse 15 miles from your house

And you bitched to Amazon customer service because it hadn't been shipped on Jan9?

Amazon just proved to you once again that they have the best customer service ever and they will work to make you happy even if you're not a prime member and you found a way to bitch about it like a little baby girl.

Take some xanex and relax, Nancy.

I have been an Amazon customer ever since they started online. I've never had a late delivery. I'm also now a Walmart online customer and I'm pleased with their service as well. Returns to both companies are super easy, too. Online shopping is the shite.

You agreed to a shipping arrival date of the 12th, it arrived on the 9th. Yet you are still unhappy?

So, essentially you are whining because you didn't get the prime service that you didn't pay for. Got it.

Must not order a lot or during the holidays. It isn't often, and when it does happen they bend over backwards to accommodate you, but it does happen. Most of the time it is out of their control, like the package my wife ordered that somehow ended up in Orlando instead of Alabama before finally showing up 2 days late. I sent in a customer service email for her, and they refunded one of the items. Of course it finally showed up a few days late, but they told her to keep it if it shows up and refunded her payment so she can purchase again if it doesn't. Along with the few times they've extended my prime membership for late shipments, and another time they added a $5 credit to my account because I paid for overnight instead of the free 2 day prime shipping and it took 4 days to get here.

Never had a single problem with Amazon. Even when UPS or FedEx fricks up a shipment, they do everything in their power to make it right.

This may have more to do with my mailperson than Amazon, but since December I've had one package lost, one package delivered without incident, and 5-6 packages delivered but no one scanned them, so the tracking shows them as lost.

I could probably get $200-300 of loot refunded if I really wanted to. ¬_¬

It's Amazon's fault for cheaping out on Prime shipping, trying to save a buck by relying on USPS for the last mile.

The only problems I've had are with UPS and FedEx. USPS has been solid. I would rather them give it to USPS for the home stretch.
