Why is it tasteless? Haven't seen it.
ETA: just watched it. If that offends you, I feel sorry for you
You can believe things to be tasteless or in poor taste without being offended.
I've only seen the commercial on a muted TV, but I immediately wondered if her estate receives any compensation for it. It's grimy to use dead people as spokespersons IMO.

Whether the root cause of the problem was mechanical or human, it seems reasonable to conclude that it was a navigation error.
lol... What?

Does this commercial upset you?
Trigger warning - it's got a dead person in it.

I actually thought of this commercial as I was typing my last comment. No, it doesn't upset me, but I still think it's grimy. But it does make me wonder, if you're gonna do this, why not go whole hog and make Jesus Christ your spokesperson?

"Bread and wine? I hope for your last meal you have the common sense to a new egg white chicken sandwich from chick fil a, and we won't betray you by not serving it after ten, that's right bring all your disciples anytime of day!"
"Imagine my disappointment, returning three days later only to find them closed a Sunday!"

Amelia Earhart, the poor man's Jesus Christ.

Yeah, that walking on water would've been pretty clutch for her.

They couldn't find the island. They were lost. There were radio calls asking for assistance. I think a Navy ship was sending signals to give them a fixed location to work off of.
Perhaps there was an instrument problem. Perhaps Noonan fricked up. But it was most likely a navigation error that led to their disappearance.
Is this not common knowledge?

It didn't offend me at all. Just thought it was tasteless given the circumstances of her death
