No. Call it in I say I complained several times about a storm-damaged house that was never touched and they finally tore it down a few weeks ago at the owner's expense. Now I am waiting for the parish to take ownership of the lot when the owners never pay back the demo so I can hopefully buy the lot.

This can be done but it’s an extraordinary pain in the arse. Make sure the tax sales for the parish(county) and city are both paid by you for three years. Have a plan on the front end of that three years so you aren’t surprised.

Signed, a guy that didn’t pay the parish part of the taxes at the “tax sale”, just paid when they sent the bill.

Is she a Jehovas Witness? The cult "elders" will coerce older people to take in younger congregation members that need a place to live for negligible rent. We're talking 2 or 3 hundred a month and they'll bring all their shite with them.

Wife (no pics) has a friend in San Diego, live in a house on a hill with less than 1500 SQ feet where you can see the water in multiple directions, beautiful sunsets...went for a walk around the neighborhood with 2 or 3 houses with driveways and street spilling with old cars in various states of (dis)repair...all the houses with well over a mil but same issue...

First, never plant a tree directly in front of your house.

Second, how about a pic of the junk car?

No, I put code enforcement on the old lady next door to me and that's what got her useless kids out to clear her back yard and fix her deck. Thing was a dang jungle from they day we moved in over 6 years ago, and it had only gotten worse.

Neighborhoods with less room where a vehicle could impede someone backing into and out of their driveway we would issue citations or have the vehicle towed. If it blocked someone from accessing their driveway we would tow immediately.

It would take a week to go through the process as there was multiple attempts to contact the owner.

Again, these vehicles had missing plates, popped ignitions where someone used a screw driver, or the vehicle was heavily damaged.

It also depends on your city or county ordinances.

Make the call, otherwise it'll get worse. And your other neighbors will be thankful to "whomever" it was that was responsible for having the car removed from the street.

Am I the only person that actually talks to neighbors if I have a problem with them?
If you have a good relationship with them, its easier to talk to the neighbor about the issue. But OP said he’s had negative interactions with the old lady previously and she’s got a bunch of extended family staying with her and they’re probably trashy folks if they’re leaving a junk car in front of the house for months. So if OP brings up the issue and the neighbor doesn’t do anything and ends up having to call code enforcement anyway, now the trashy assholes know who reported them.

This has been beaten to death on the OT but I can't imagine buying a house in a suburban "neighborhood" that doesn't have an HOA to handle this shite

Have the HOA contact the neighbor. Our HOA does not allow long-term parking on the street. If the car is not removed and is immobile, you can have it towed.

The fact that it is on a blind curve is a game changer. Offer to help and call if she says no.
