Yeah he didn't really have to do any searching... just pulled it right out.

Almost as if he knew exactly where it was like he saw him going for it. Sorry but this is a justifiable shooting.

He was a pedophile. His humanity was devalued the second he was found guilty of that crime, everything else was just lagniappe.

It looks like the cop that shot him sees he is going for a gun, is trying to stop his right arm from entering his right pocket and then shoots him in the chest.

My thoughts as well.

You can see the cop moving up and down trying to hold the guy's arm down, it appears. Cop draws weapon from holster and shoots right by it straight into the guy's chest. Rolls off, fires two more.

They will likely not even be charged, but they surely will not be convicted, but alas, that will not matter.

The dynamic here that is different from Ferguson is (1) we have multiple videos; and (2) the guy was armed.

Those combined will hopefully be mitigating factors.

Whether they saw the gun or felt the gun while wrestling with him and whether he was reaching for the gun is still not clear.

the first part is 100% clear in the video

they scream "HE'S GOT A GUN" and they pull out their guns

it's at 7-8 seconds in the video

Point to me where I insinuated that someone was lying.

"Why are people continuing to run with the narrative that he was going for his gun? There is nothing at this point to show he was going for his gun. "

So, you're insinuating the cops have lied by saying he was going for his gun. Do you need me to link more of your own posts?

New video just helps the officers IMO.

As soon as the first shots are fired he throws the cops off of him, which leads to more shots

What?

In the second video, immediately after the initial shots, as the camera is turning, you see the cop that was straddling him getting pushed with his back towards the camera. When the camera gets back to him he's on his side with his gun facing Alton. Do you think the cop just did a roll to get himself into that awkward position or something?

Watched it a couple more times. There's very little effort when the cop removes the gun from his pocket. He doesn't go digging in the pocket... just reaches down and grabs it.

It's hard to tell from the video but when he's laying on the ground after being shot there's a dark spot where his pocket is... I'm wondering if the grip was sticking out and maybe that's what the cops saw and thought he was trying to get it.

Doesn't he kind of lose some of that "humanity" when he creates a dangerous situation by resisting arrest and carrying an illegal weapon that he threatened people with before the police even showed up?

What's upsetting to me is that I see two men who took on a pretty thankless job these days to protect a community and that community is now calling for their deaths for doing their job.

That's a very good observation. He does pull that gun out rather quickly.

From their positions, I think they both disengaged when the initial shots were fired and that Sterling sat up after the initial shots. So the officer that went to the ground shoots again, guy is now trying to get up and/or moving around, which would account for the shots in the back since the officer is now behind him.

Second officer either backed off and went behind guy with camera or stepped over Sterling's head when the camera pulls away since he comes from the right of the screen to retrieve the gun.
