Is the exact post I quoted and it is someone saying they should come in with guns drawn.
Definitely don't want them rolling up guns drawn. However, if you are already concerned about the situation.. and the guy is not doing anything to make the situation appear safer.. then perhaps drawing the gun and keeping it pointed on him for security measures may be needed? I really don't know the answer..
However,
There's nothing wrong with questioning the actions of police in each incident. That guy who got all "frick you" for people questioning does not need to take it so personal. No one incident is ever the same. I hope that it was necessary. Not sure at the moment if it was or not.. I just wish in certain situations they wouldn't shoot so many times.. depending upon the exact situation unfolding.. Certain situations I understand it.
It really appears this guy, Alton, has a long history of being pretty stupid at time though. He appears to not have much care or respect for authority or following the law.

I disagree. You cant just show up with your weapon drawn just bc of the description from the call in. The cop has to assess the situation once he is there to see if a weapon needs to be drawn.
They knew who the guy was. They knew he was a felon. They were responding to a call that he was brandishing a gun. Why wouldn't they show up on edge with weapons drawn?

You obviously aren't following the convo

Actually I think I see a body cam dangling off one officer's uniform so the may check out.
I just don't trust government and need to verify everything they claim especially when it's a convenient truth.

Well thank god you approve. I'm sure they were really concerned with your thoughts on the matter.

There's another periscope up. But I think the lady is leaving. Seems to me the party is dying off.

Clearly it didn't go the way they intended, and killing him wasn't their intentions, but I bet if they could do it all over again they'd choose a different route.
And I bet that if they would have approached him with guns drawn, and shot him when he didn't immediately comply, you would be criticizing them and suggesting they should have chosen a different route.
If you deny this, you're being completely disingenuous. You can at least admit to this, right?

The comments on Facebook are depressing.

Bc if they don't actively see the suspect with his weapon drawn they aren't going to show up with theirs drawn. They will have their hand on their holster and talk to him. Which is exactly what happened.

I'm not suggesting they should have done that. I'm saying that tackling an armed suspect that is 300+ lbs after the man went through two tasers unfazed and was just standing there is a peculiar decision given the risk involved. The alternative had its own set of risks too, and I've never argued otherwise, but it is a reasonable question.

Actually I slowed down and enhanced the vid and I can now see both body cams hanging. The one on the shooter is easy to spot once you know what you're looking for. The other guys isn't obvious until right after.
Definitely going to have to reconsider whatever system they have in place.
