It's the internet. Everybody's a badass...until they aren't. Look forward to it.

Cliffs notes on this thread?

One group says he deserved to die because he is a felon with a gun who resisted.

One group says it was murder.

One group of keyboard klansman is spewing bile.

Some concern that national "pros" will incite riots.

If his dad loved him so much, he would have been chosen him over a life of crime.

I think you have absolutely no earthly idea what they should have known.

They responded to a call of a suspect that fit Sterlings description to the "T" who was brandishing a weapon and had the weapon in his pocket. You know damn well they fully expected him to be armed.

Then what are you suggesting?

I'm suggesting it COULD have been valid alternative.

You mean, if they would have drawn, the same people criticizing the tackle would be criticizing the drawing of weapons. (hint...you)

I'm not going to lose sleep about the tackle, particularly when it is the only real point of contention in the officers' actions. Their actions were commendable, and they may or may not have made the right call with the tackle. Clearly it didn't go the way they intended, and killing him wasn't their intentions, but I bet if they could do it all over again they'd choose a different route.

his arms were still moving so he was still a threat

I'm not suggesting they went overboard in this case. I'm replying to the common misconception that they shoot to kill.

However, the arm movement in the last video is the involuntary movements of a dead man.

but IF they would have drawn the same people who are defending the tackle would have defended drawing their weapons.

I disagree. You cant just show up with your weapon drawn just bc of the description from the call in. The cop has to assess the situation once he is there to see if a weapon needs to be drawn.

And a dead suspect can also not tell the truth. We've seen that happen a few times . Not saying that is the case here.

Well then why say it?

It's like if I said, we've seen people try to ambush cops. Not saying that's the case here.

The downvotes are probably for putting that kid up in public and making him a prop for u SJW jackasses to force more bullshite down our throat as "facts". It helps win people over when they see the poor little kid.
