You think Chandler Loup got him a piece of some brown skin nookie in exchange for a yes vote?

Not to mention.. And maybe I am wrong, but he was living in a church or something.. Did his family even want anything to do with him when he was alive?
I wouldn't be surprised if everyone on the council thought his family deserves that money. They probably knew it wouldn't pass so they were at least able to say they did their part.
But on the other hand, with $5M dollars.. You are going to have people trying to get their hands on some of it. so there is no telling what has gone on behind the scenes.

You can bet the attorneys were getting at least 40%.
I say have the trial. I want to know what happened. I want to know who called 911, what was reported, what were the officers told, did Sterling have a gun, and did the cops see it?
I want to know if Sterling supported his family, was he involved in their lives and if he was ever there fir then.
Basic questions

The known of $5 million or the unknown which could be less or possibly more.
Most likely less if you use precedent from the Katrina shootings whose families got less.
Keep in mind those officers were found guilty and sentenced.
Take in mind that no local, state, or federal review of this case found any wrongdoing by the officers involved. So there is no wrongful death or violation of civil rights...

He has been disinterested at best since his son’s incident.

Never saw that reported. Thxs
But it is like I thought. The officers knew the guy had a gun.

They knew going in he had a gun and then SAW the gun when he tried to pull it. Salamoni was enough to correctly identify it as a revolver. It was, in fact, a Taurus .38 revolver. In the famous video where Salamoni is astride Sterling on the ground, Sterling is holding the gun and attempting to draw it from his shorts pocket. Salamoni has both hands around Sterlings wrist preventing him from drawing the gun. Sterling then let’s go of the gun and rips his hand out of Salamoni’s grasp and then goes back into his pocket and again begins drawing the gun. It is at that point that Salamoni shoots him. This is definitively proven when, immediately after the shots are fired, the officer goes straight to Sterlings front right pants pocket and retrieves the revolver.
They were told he had the revolver, Salamoni became aggressive when Sterling reaches towards his right pocket initially, Salamoni subsequently feels and SEES the gun and only fires when Sterling tries to draw the gun the second time. There isn’t, and never has been, a basis for a lawsuit or any of the protests/riots. This has been a political sham from the get-go.

That idiot Loup hasn’t been to a Metro Council meeting in years but shows up for this. His boss must want to use it in his client solicitation activities. Coming soon to a Lamar billboard. What a POS.

There is a video.. It was some black dude who was/is an arms trainer or something who made a video explaining exactly why it was a justified shooting. Im looking for it now with little luck. If someone knows the video I am referring to and can post it please do so.

Hell, the whole incident started with a 911 call about a man who pulled a gun on another person. I think the person called 911 twice. They were not there just to rough up some hoods.

Well, we’re told that his family was receiving public assistance so he wasn’t doing a very good job of it.
Not to go off on too much of a tangent, but it’s absolutely disgusting how many times we read the stories and the dead criminal has 3,4,5 children.
It begs the question, do they in any way consider the alternatives? Kids are not mandatory result of sex. Protection exist. I guess it also explains the high AIDS and other STD’s in certain communities but come on. I have some serious loser acquaintances but none of them have 4 kids by different mamas, none of which they never married.
How is this so accepted in these communities? These kids don’t stand a chance.

This is why I want a trial.

I don’t know. It seems that much of the “City” ie the city council is on Sterling’s side

Maybe Democrats are right. Their constituents are indeed stupid helpless child-minds who can’t get a state ID or figure out how to pull out
