If there are seven people on a shuttle flight, I would say that this guy would be much more useful than some badass pilot. I'm assuming the other six are badass pilots. An asskicker with emergency medicine experience would probably be more valuable than pilot #4-6.

Damn I assumed the guy got out of the navy, but he went to school through NROTC I'd assume to be a doctor the whole time. So he probably got paid as active duty or close to it his entire time in school right? Pretty badass life so far.
I played HS football with a guy that went to the Air Force academy and won the college boxing heavy weight national title, then went on to medical school. But this guy being a seal def one ups him.
