I guess I would have thought witnesses would be used instead of witness…but other guy may not want involvement?

Even if it were drug related, it isn’t, I seriously doubt she would be buying drugs at2am from some street thugs

An interesting thought… didn’t the police chief make a point to mention today that there are multiple known gangs in Baton Rouge right now? Perhaps that was his way of easing into the gang conversation for when this eventually comes to light - assuming it’s related to gang activity.

To be clear, I’m not saying it’s gang related, just simply wondering out loud with my keyboard.

Was Allie is a sorority? Because if so and she had a sticker or some type of identification of that status on the back of her car, and gangs are indeed currently somehow in some way targeting sorority girls, that might bring logic to the fact that the witness claims it was “not ten minutes” after the two guys crossed through the train cars until the bullets started flying. Maybe they walked past Allie, realized she was in a sorority due to stickers or something on her car, then said “frick it, this is our chance” and walked back to do what they did.

Again, just simply stating a theory, assuming the gang thing is true. At this point I don’t see why anyone outside of law enforcement could rule out gang stuff unless there is strong evidence against it. For what it’s worth, I know someone in law enforcement in a bordering parish and he says there 100% is an area just north of LSU’s campus that is gang-controlled. He won’t let his wife go anywhere north of campus on game days for that reason. Baton Rouge is all fricked up.

I guarantee there are a number of people in the hood who already know who did this. They’re not talking either because it’s not worth their while (yet, anyway), they’re afraid, or - worst of all - they don’t have a problem with what happened.

After the joke of a presser we got and watching Kiran's interview with Allie's dad and The Shed owner, I've all but resigned myself to the fact that this POS may just get away with this shite. Really difficult to hang the entire investigation on a snitch in that community where keeping your mouth shut garners the "respect" it does. fricking tragic, heartbreaking, infuriating...everything.

Considering BRPD can’t keep informants’ names confidential, would YOU bet your life on swearing a statement against someone?


Shitty situation but a good chunk of why we are here is that SWB keeps revealing informant names and MP’s guys are selling confidential info to dealers.

The mayor’s office and PD have more leaks than a Polish submarine.
