Was she wearing identifiable clothing? Is Radio Bar a place where thugs frequent? If not, how would they know she went to LSU?

I don’t think she was targeted because she was a student but I imagine she had an LSU parking tag hanging from her mirror.

The ranks in BRPD were down before Broome took over. I remember one year not long after Katrina hit, Kip elected not to have an academy. Money was tight and that was one of the cuts he made
.

however it’s the SWB and MP administration that’s the cancer

That has been a huge issue. Broome ran off the old chief fir political reasons, and she took the side of the criminals. She cut out the BRAVE program and gave out names of the snitches who were helping the cops. She was anti cop.
Under her watch the ranks fell even lower than where they were.

Whenever Hillar retires from the DA office he’ll be replaced by a woke, activist DA that will be substantially worse. Violent criminals will be let out on minimal bail and more innocent lives will be lost to the tPOS element of BR.

If I had to bet, I would bet that in this case one has a record snd there’s a 50/50 chance one has an outstanding warrant, an ankle bracelet or is out on bail.

We need a resurgence of Italian-style, principled, mafia.

Buy the mayor, buy the chief of police, and crack down on unsanctioned thuggery.

This current situation isn’t working.

Meeting starts at 4pm, directly after zoning meeting... on St Louis Street... Anyone can fill out a form to speak.... They need to be asked to justify their position and efforts on the vilolence that is Baton Rouge Metro. Time for them to do their jobs and not just pose for pretty headshots on the council website.

You have to submit your request to speak by the Friday before the meeting. Its too late to get on the agenda for Wednesday. Only way is to the council to unanimously approve an item which ain't happen.

Apparently BRPD doesn’t need any witnesses

Holy shite, when did this happen? Probably a stupid question, but was this reported by the media?

Witness to LSU student’s death: “Still somewhat in shock realizing what happened”

quote:

“Someone is dead and me being the only witness could easily help figure out who did it or why they did it. I mean it would make Baton Rouge safer to have someone who killed someone off the streets. It didn’t seem like a concern to BRPD to hurry up and get back in touch with me. It just makes Baton Rouge feel unsafe.”

quote:

“They need to do better. With this specific case, with me and my friend being the only witnesses there, it was very shocking to me that when I called BRPD Friday morning, the person told me she couldn’t help me and she would transfer me,” said the witness. “When I got a hold of someone, they told me he was an assistant and that someone would call me back. Hours went by and no one called me so I called Crime Stoppers. They took down the information and I never heard from anyone again.”

quote:

Friday afternoon, the witness and his family reached back out to BRPD when he finally got a hold of someone.

I think this answers the question about whether BRPD is interested in finding the murderer or not.

Back on topic here… has Kiran Chawla posted any updates? She’s really our only hope when it comes to the local media.

Yes, Kiran found an eyewitness to the murder. Two black males, mid twenties were identified as the perps.

There goes the lone serial killer theory. Gang initiation is still in play.

If he had said he saw two white guys, instead of what he said, they would have been all over him and this would be front page news.

Baws... I am fuming right now. I didn't think I could get more angry than I already was. What in the actual frick is going on with BRPD? A witness calls in hours after a high profile murder with crucial information and they just sit on it!? If the local media does not hammer the frick out of this and if Murphy Paul isn't forced to resign over this, I have no hope. How can he defend that? How can anyone defend that? How can the media not completely destroy the BRPD and mayor with questioning and answer demands after learning this?

I’d lean more towards it being thugs trying to rob somebody, and they end up shooting someone, than gang initiation. I don’t really think that’s how gangs work in BR.

Playing devil's advocate, perhaps he wasn't a trustworthy witness. I mean, dude was across the train tracks from the perps shooting her car, they heard the gunshots, and he didn't report it until several hours later.

That also means he drove past her car and didn't notice anything awry. That is very strange.

Not only does he not care, but Puppet Pawl was at a youth football game in Ascension Parish bright and early Saturday morning having a good ole time with just couple people (he was not well received by the vast majority of the christian school parents). He should have been at work pushing to solve one of the numerous unsolved and high profile murders that continue to happen with his approval, I mean under his "watch". He'd be wise to stay away for the rest of the season. He isn't in EBR and he had better recognize that.
