Take it for what it's worth, but I was told by someone with some law enforcement ties that a critical piece of evidence was needed to basically seal the deal, but a warrant for it couldn't be acquired because there just wasn't quite enough for the warrant to be approved.

Don’t be offended, but I don’t believe a word of that.

Said it not long after it happened, with no video showing what happened they were never going to find the guilty party(s). The gun(s) used were most likely sold or dumped immediately afterwards.

Sad for the girl and her family, the family will likely never get closure.

Quantity doesn’t necessarily equate to quality or ones committed to supporting the school after graduation.

He said average act was over 27. They are only admitting under 20%.

As sad as this is, those pushing the narrative that it affects lsu are stupid
It won’t have any impact on enrollment and neither will the girl from Reggie’s

It happened far from lsu campus
People travel that route all the time
She was truly in the wrong place at the worst possible time
One change in her route that night would have made all the difference

I treasure my time at and my degree from LSU. However I wouldn’t send my kids to school there today if they gave me free tuition. If enrollment hasn’t suffered like y’all say it hasn’t, then great for your kids. But it’s not good enough for mine. BR is more of a shithole today than I could have ever imagined.

Same. Absolutely do not want her staying here.

I'm an alum and I'm glad the school has an all time high enrollment. It just won't include my youngest daughter in 2 years.

Students from 50 states and 100 countries. Someone is coming to LSU. My son goes there for petroleum engineering and my daughter is thinking of going there for petroleum engineering. My wife doesn’t want her to go. I don’t think it is any worse than anywhere else I have been in SEC and Austin is a shithole. Guy who graduated from Texas was with his daughter and said no way she goes to Texas.

It’s dangerous, but most campuses are now. Some of the shooters in Dadeville shooting were from Auburn. We all know what happened in Tuscaloosa.

If you don't think this could happen in any part of BR, you need a reality check. They are getting more brazen as they see what others are getting away with. BR is an increasingly lawless place.

Who said? Is it for engineering applications or total? And is an ACT or SAT required again or still voluntary? Are scholarships and grants being given to students with grades and scores that would not have gotten much or anything in the past.

We should also wait until those who accept admission and enroll. My kid had a fairly high SAT when applied to LSU to appease my wife, got accepted to engineering, honors, and so on but didn’t accept/enroll. For some reason he kept getting emails well into the fall semester about needing to enroll in classes even though he never accepted anything and turned down what was required to turn down (only university this happened with).

Not saying kids can’t get a good education still especially in something like petroleum engineering, but it’s becoming more politicized than most sport fans realize who have gotten gotten suckered by the President being a fan of sports and ignore who he hires for the actual university and what he does elsewhere.

Then there’s Baton Rouge.

On a different note about BR I don’t remember apartment complexes built to market to LSU students (not the LSU owned on campus) having so many non-LSU students living them. With all newer apartments and the new apartment like dorms run by LSU I can’t believe so many of the ones that weren’t new with some very old when I was there still exist to bring in shite closer to LSU.

Campus is dangerous but city of BR is even more dangerous. You can’t avoid BR’s trash like you used to be able to do.

Austin is becoming a shite hole for Austin. If I had to pick between Austin and Baton Rouge it’s not even a real choice due to how much better Austin’s shithole is than BR’s shithole.

this is very true - my oldest is finishing up her second year at LSU, and everything is very woke and liberal

My second eldest just accepted LSU’s offer

Both are going to live at home, so I’m not terribly worried, I’m not really sure where they could go and not be exposed to evils of the world

That’s because you’re biased. LSU is much worse than most of the SEC and far worse than Austin. Austin is not a shite hole compared to BR

BR is a shite hole but Ttown is a violent city and shite hole as well with dick bag Nate Oats and Nick Saban allowing players to be violent.

Br has really went down the drain though in the last 5 years.

Tuscaloosa may be a violent city, yes. It’s rated a 4/100 for safety. BR is a 2. Meaning 2% of cities are safer than BR - New Orleans and probably a couple others.

But the rate of violent crime in Tuscaloosa is 5.46 per 1000, while BR is 11.93 per 1000. BR is literally double Tuscaloosa, and Tuscaloosa is bottom 5% of the country. BR is an absolute shithole

They all got Dodge Charger, dope smoking, punks. They all have bad people that don’t go to school there mingling with students on campus and in bars. ALL of them. Don’t be naive.

You ever been to Oxford square lately? Lots of Dodge Chargers, smell of skunk weed, half clothed women and sketchy people. Go hang around the Tuscaloosa campus at night. My uncle is from Austin and I was going to go to Barton Springs to swim with family and he told me to stay away that is was full of drug heads and homeless people. People looking for trouble. He is pretty liberal. He said it was bad. Did you see all the Dodge Chargers in Austin spinning in intersection and beating on cop cars? Guess not.
