Yes but it takes years typically.

I’ve never had allergy problems my entire life, never had taken any allergy meds before. I’m 35. 1 year ago it hit me like a ton of bricks and now I have to take Claritin every other day or I feel like crap.

I have severe allergies and moderate asthma. Took allergy shots as a kid then went forever off them until onset of significant allergies and asthma resumption. Had been on shots for 3.5 years and started getting awful triple infections of ears, eyes, and sinuses. Took 875 mg antibiotics for 5 weeks 3 different times as infections kept recurring, then had turbinate reduction and slight deviated septum surgeries which have helped somewhat. Took shots 2 more years and quit this February, I really don't think they were doing much. Tree pollen is awful for me, last 6 weeks have been terrible. Have been monitoring pollen counts, this last week tree pollen hit like 4375 on Tuesday and 1500 is considered severe on pollen.com. I believe that was a record for ATL. Even Denver was over 3300 last week. I took zyrtec and xyzal at a time and they really dry out sinuses causing other issues and then most people start having weird symptoms when they stop taking. Allegra is likely one of the safest and Flonase can work well, especially if you use nasal rinse before Flonase.

Yes. I usually get a steroid shot when my allergies become a sinus infection and it clears up within 24 hours. This year I didn’t want to risk catching the Coronavirus so I didn’t get a shot and my damn allergies lasted a week.

Yes. I have pretty bad allergies but keep them under control with monthly injections.

Other thing to try if moderate allergies is local raw honey. Chew the comb, eat a bit of honey every day.
