Do they teach history in school anymore? My only question is this. Would people today, whose ancestors were slaves, have a better life if their ancestors were never sold?

I have ancestors that owned slaves and ancestors that were slaves. I guess I'm even! What a bunch of mouth breathing morons! Where is our country?!

It tickles me silly when Ivy league hopefuls (like this sharp scholastic overachiever) seem to think slavery was innovated here.
What really sets me off in a fit of laughter is it when they want to aggressively identify with their African roots, not knowing that slavery existed there for hundreds of years before we adopted if here, and still exists (in a limited sense) over there to this very day.
This kid probably has a handicap parking placard hanging from his rearview mirror...of which I have come to realize that most of these kids are handicapped, although not necessarily in a wheelchair. When you read their ideas, thoughts, and philosophies about what they believe hey are entitled to, I try and soak up the humor that resides within, why feeling like a genius along the way.

Before anyone even tries to argue with this, don't...Louisiana, a state with a large black population, receives the most federal money out of any state in the country. I want to say it is over 40% of state revenue. Same story with other states with large black populations. The Civil War left the south with a less diversified workforce, and the federal government has historically allocated resources to the south as a result.
Reparations are real, there is no denying it. Some might just not recognize the medium they are delivered.
