Yeah they already are flying and people with a one hour connection were not delayed at all.

No but his connection wasn't delayed at all. He was supposed to leave around 9 and he did.

This pisses me right off. I was just returning from St Croix where I had leveraged the deal between Apple and Microsoft, my jet was down to install more gold plating in the sex throne so I had to fly commercial. Angelina was pissed. Holly Sonders took it better, at least she seemed to when I looked back to see how she was doing carrying my bags.

Two brothers, my mom and aunt are in Italy right now. Their departure on United was a shitshow. Plane got hit by lightning on the ground the day before but not notified until morning of that flight was canceled.
I was happy to be missing the trip that day.
NO Dulles Rome turned into NO, Newark, Amsterdam, Vienna, Rome

Why would they notify them right away? Planes can be fixed and other planes can be acquired to keep the flight on time. So no need to cancel/delay until absolutely necessary.

Of course, except as the story was relayed to me, the plane being hit wasn't reported to the people who could fix it until the next day.
So it was a surprise internally at United the morning of as well. But hey, I wasn't there.

I refuse to fly United. They suck major dong! I just flew Delta from Madrid to Atlanta. No worries or issues.
